The moment everyone has been waiting for is here! Early registrations for the 8th ALIS (A Look Into Science) International Scientific Student Congress, traditionally organized each year by Acıbadem University medical students with the support of Acıbadem Healthcare Group, are now open!

Taking place on May 16-17-18, 2025, under the theme ALIS: Genomics – Sequence to Solution, our congress will once again welcome world-renowned experts to Acıbadem University Kerem Aydınlar Campus. With distinguished professors from three continents, we will explore the journey of genetic science from the laboratory to the patient’s bedside through a translational approach, offering participants a truly unique three-day experience!  

This year, our esteemed speakers include:  

Prof. Yusuke Nakamura, President of the Japanese National Institutes of Biomedical Innovation, known for his groundbreaking cancer research and the discovery of the APC gene, with an outstanding h-index of 237.  
Prof. Christopher E. Mason from Weill Cornell Medicine, who led NASA’s “Twins Study” and pioneered multi-omics research.  

Wilhelm Foundation, founded with the contributions of Helen and Mikk Carredoth, providing extensive funding for research on rare and undiagnosed diseases worldwide.  

Prof. Adil Mardinoğlu, a pioneer in personalized medicine and former TÜSEB President, currently at King’s College London.  

Prof. Javad Parvizi, world-renowned orthopedic surgeon and former director of Rothman Research Institute, with an inspiring career story.

Additionally, our congress will feature Da Vinci Robotic Surgery training and various hands-on workshops at our CASE simulation center, one of only two institutions worldwide to hold the prestigious Center of Excellence title. Participants will also have the opportunity to present their research through oral presentations, competing for the AIMS (Acıbadem University International Medical Student Awards) – Kerem Aydınlar Awards.

Of course, no ALIS experience would be complete without its legendary gala night! This year, our gala will take place at Portaxe, located in Istanbul’s Baltalimanı district, offering a breathtaking seaside Bosphorus view and an unforgettable evening! 🥂
