Objective

The ALIS (A Look Into Science) Congress is an international student congress organized to enhance scientific awareness by addressing current developments in the fields of medicine and health sciences, promote academic knowledge sharing, and bring together future physicians and researchers.

​

The primary objective of our congress is to provide participants with a new perspective, increase their scientific awareness, expand access to scientific knowledge, and contribute to their academic development. While ensuring that participants gain insight into the latest research and innovative perspectives in their fields, the congress also enables them to engage directly with the scientific community.

Furthermore, with the support of our sponsors, our congress aims to make scientific content accessible to the widest audience possible. In line with this goal, participation fees are kept at a reasonable level to ensure that scientific exchange remains accessible to all.

Scope

​

The ALIS (A Look Into Science) Congress is an international medical and health congress traditionally organized each year by the students of Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine. Each year, it revolves around a selected main theme and features presentations by distinguished speakers from both national and international institutions. In addition to these sessions, the congress also hosts "Inspiration Talks" and "Social Talks", which offer participants a fresh perspective.

Alongside all these sessions, the congress provides participants with the opportunity to attend nearly 50 different workshops covering a wide range of fields, from science to arts, during the first two days. On the third day, oral presentations take place following the speaker sessions, where active participants can present their own research and projects. These presentations are evaluated by a jury of academics from different universities and awarded based on their scientific merit.

The primary audience of the congress includes medical students from Turkey and abroad, as well as PhD students, resident doctors, and faculty members. Participants are given the chance to learn about the latest developments related to the main theme and connect with expert speakers in the field.

Theme

ALIS (A Look Into Science) is an international student congress that is organized annually with a theme selected by the students of Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine. In previous years, the congress has focused on various medical disciplines such as Neurology, Pediatrics, Oncology, and Obstetrics & Gynecology. The main theme for 2025 has been chosen as "Genomics."

Within this theme, the congress will offer participants a unique scientific experience with distinguished speakers from all over the world. The speakers will approach the theme from a comprehensive perspective, sharing their groundbreaking research and pioneering contributions from basic sciences to clinical applications under the concept of "The Advancement of Medicine from Laboratory to Bedside."
